Structure Fire - Dollar General Store - 9 West Church Street

At 0737 hrs the Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a structure fire, 9 West Church Street, the Dollar General Store. 88-42 (Sliwa) initially reported smoke from the front of the structure. Command 88 with Chief Eckman arrived and upgraded the commercial structure response to include Roxana-Station 90 and Bishopville-Worcester County Station 900. Millville-Station 84 was assigned the move-up for coverage. Engine 88-1 (A/C Murray) arrived with crew of 8, hitting the hydrant across from the structure. Initial attack crews reported the fire was contained to a refrigerated showcase, with extension into the wall and drop ceiling. Truck 90 was tasked to place a crew on the roof for investigation. The situation was placed under control, with Engine 90-1 assigned to fill Station 88 and Engine 84-4 filling Station 90. Units operating were Command 88, Engine 88-1, Rescue 88, Tower 88, B-88, Truck 90, Engine 90-1, Engine/Tanker 904, Rehab 90, FM 10, SCEMS 105, Engine 84-4, and Fire Police
