LifeNet helicopter - Polly Branch Road

On July 16th, the Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company, DSP Trooper 2, LifeNet 2, and SCEMS were alerted for a police action, reporting one person with a GSW and one stabbed. All units were directed to stage, and the lot next to SVFC's building was designated as the safe LZ. During a delayed stage, LifeNet 2 arrived and shut down at the LZ. After several more minutes, Sussex EOC relayed information from SusCom that this call was unfounded. Never wishing to waste an opportunity, 88-15 (Eckman) and 88-40 (Foxwell) requested the crew of LifeNet 2 to do a familiarization of the aircraft and safe LZ procedures to the members of SVFC. The company extends its' appreciation to the flight crew assigned that day.
