SVFC Awards Dinner - Station 88

Members and guests of the Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company enjoyed an evening of awards and dinner. A special recognition was given to Frank Marshall Holloway, affectionately known as "Jiggs". He has just completed his 50th year of active service to the Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company, serving in several offices including Chief of the Company. State Senator George Bunting and State Representative Gerald Hocker presented respective proclamations, and a special proclamation from U. S. Senator Thomas Carper was read. President of the Company Charles Hastings, along with Chief Robert Eckman presented Jiggs with rememberances from the Company to honor his 50 years of service. Also honored was Ray Stevens, currently the company's Vice President and Senior Safety Officer. Ray has been a member of the company for 40 years, holding many positions of authority, not only within the company but also at county and state level. Further length of service awards were presented to members completing 5,10,15, and 20 years. Also presented were Top Responder awards, and the Company Training Awards ( Leather New Yorker helmet).
