It is with our deepest sorrow to announce that Life Member Richard D. "Dick" Lort Sr. answered his last alarm on Thursday August 16th, 2007. For 44 years Dick was a very active member of the Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company during which time he served as President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Chaplain, Fire Recorder, Chief, Ambulance Captain, and Safety Officer. He also served on the building committee for many years and was very involved in the construction of the new fire house in 1972. Mr. Lort, you will be much missed. Funeral arrangements are as follows: Viewing 8/19/07 4:00pm to 6:00pm, Funeral 8/20/07 2:00pm @ Salem Church of Selbyville.
