ASSIST DNREC IN SEAFORD

Selbyville Fire Co. Dive team was asked by DNREC to assist with an issue in Seaford at the power plant. Along with Blades and Seaford Fire Companies they worked on plugging a drain that opens into the Nanticoke River. They used Holmatro tools to spread the rebar to have access to plug the drain.

DIVE RECOVERY

On December 10th members of the Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company's Dive Team assisted in the recovery of a car in the Rehobeth Bay. The operator of the vehicle had drove into the bay in the area of Massey's Landing. The divers operated in conjuction with DNREC, the Army Core of Engineers, and Tow Boat USA.

MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT

The SVFC was alerted for a single vehicle accident involving a motorcycle. Units arrived to find the situation as reported, with one patient who was transported to PRMC via A-88. Operating were Engine 88-1, Rescue 88, A-88, SCEMS 105, and Fire Police.

LIVE FIRE EVOLUTIONS

On Sunday November 29th the Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company had the opportunity to run task oriented evolutions in an acquired structure. Members undertook search and rescue, truck access for roof ventilations, pump and handline evolutions. After several scenarios, the structure was finished via a controlled burn process.

On Sunday the 8th of November, at 0709 hours, the Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched for a structrure fire on Cypress Rd. The report of a structure fire also alerted Station 76-Frankford, Station 90-Roxana, and SCEMS 103. Command 88 with 88-15 (Eckman) arrived and reported a manure shed on fire, with exposure to a poultry residential......

ASSIST WORCESTER COUNTY STATION 900-BISHOPVILLE ON A STRUCTURE FIRE

At 0304 hours the Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to assist Worcester County Station 900 -Bishopville with a reported structure fire. Units operating included Engine 88-1, Truck 88, and Traffic Control 88.
